Pmsidzfril, Mr. BOARD OF EDUCATION Every four or five years five capable persons are elected by the voters of Maple Heights. These men and women, plus the superin- tendent of schools Mr. A.E. Hadfield, make up the Board of Educa' tion. The job of the School Board could be deciding about a new school building, hiring a new teacher for the faculty, maintaining the schools, or solving any number of school administration prob- lems. The Maple Heights Board of Education is one of the most vital and necessary parts in the able running of our school. l Earlier in the year when the editor of this book reminded me that these paragraphs were due, I thought, What can I possibly say that will be different from what I have said before? So I checked through some of the old annuals and came to the conclusion that most of the ideas really should be stressed time and again. For in- stance-complimenting the Yearbook staff for their many hours of conscientious workg surely they deserve our highest praise for producing a product worthy of praise, This is the best year- book yet. Let's all tell them so. Most of our material possessions decrease in value as they get older even to the point of be- coming junk . But not our yearbooks! Ive cher- ish them more and more because they keep alive the memory of the good times we had and the fine friends we made.
