VIKINGS The Vikings showed a very promising future by winning 8 out of 9 games this season. Their only defeat was given up to Glen Arbor. Picture, back row, left to right: Stachnik, Shupiery, Kilinski, Kulanda, Wisniewski, Hlavka and Lyon. BASEBALL Last fall the baseball team had a fair season by winning two games from Isadore, one from Glen Arbor and one from the In- dependents. They lost one to Lake Leelanau, Glen Arbor and Buckley. The line up for Maple City was: Raymond Waslawski and Jim Miller doing the catching and Alex Peplinski, Reynold Brow and Arthur Wisniewski taking care of the pitching chores. The infield was made up of Roger Lyon, Paul Nowak, Mickey Cluff and Pat Miller. The outfield consisted of Tracy Whitten, Don Peplinski, Frank Novotny, Bob Zientek and Joe Miller. THE TELEVISOR The newspaper is an extra curricular activity offered since 1950 under the supervision of Mr. Krull. The Televisor got off to a slow start but is beginning to formulate itself into a school institution. This winter the School Board purchased a new mimeograph for the school, which will aid the newspaper staff to produce a more attractive newspaper. The newspaper staff: Editor, Louise Kucera, Social Editors, Connie Whitten and Marjorie Cate; Sports, Pat Miller and Alex Peplinski; Artist, Donald Burry; Class Reporters, Bruce Lyon and Janet Nowak; Lithographer, Mary Jo Kucera; Business Manager, Roger Lyon; Advisor, Mr. Krull.
