CLASS HISTORY 49-50 This is the year we entered the Maple Cith High School, with the following students: Arlene Fritz, Sharon Cluff, Donna Brow, Frances Schettek, Patsy Sharnowski, Louise Kucera, Cresence Garvin, Proxes Skipski, Raymond Waslawski, Alex Peplinski, Ed- ward Nowak, Bob Zientek, Ronnie Shupiery, Philip Sharnowski, Carroll Sattler and Reynold Brow. Of course, since we were Freshmen, we were considered the zany green horns of the school and after a few days of school our friends the Sophomores wel- comed us with an initiation party. Fortunately, all of us survived. As we were just starting in our high school career we had many things to think about, one being to start a money campaign for a Senior trip. 50- 51 We came back to school in September and found our class had grown to 18 members since Marcella Nemeskal and Patrick Miller joined us. Now it was our turn to have fun so we initiated the Freshmen shortly after school started. 51- 52 School opened in September and as Juniors we found we had lost Proxes Skipski, Patsy Sharnowski, and Marcella Nemeskal. We got things rolling by staging a dance late in September. After this dance we began preparing for the Junior play, ’’The Funny Brats”, in November and it was a huge success. We raffled cakes at all home basketball games this year and when the year ended we had about $230 in our treasury. On May 16 the Junior classes of Isadore, Maple City, and Empire held a Junior-Senior Prom at the Glen Arbor Community Hall. 52-53 We started this year with a Washington or bust slogan and during the second week the class began preparing the annual.
