Gives Students a Way to Release Tensions and Emotions The Physical Education program is structured to teach the fundamental skills, safety, and rules of each sport and activity, with hope that each student will find some understanding, enjoyment, self- expression, and social value. Objectives of the program are to develop muscu- lar strength and endurance, to learn activities and skills that will carry over into later life, to develop leadership abilities and cooperation and teamwork with fellow students. Through physical activities, the individual physi- cally releases tensions and emotions so he may better participate in his other subject areas, 1.
