Offers Skills in Man Occupational Areas The Business Education classes offer a wide variety of courses that will prove useful for any number of job offerings, as well as practical skills that everyone should learn how to do, like typing. Typing will be a help to students for any business work for the rest of their lives. QLJJ Home Economics Helps Develop Talent As Well As Set Goals The philosophy of the Home Economics pro- gram is based on the belief that individuals are the strength and most important resource of the coun- try. The program, therefore, is designed to help in- dividuals to improve the quality of personal and family life, and to develop skills necessary for en- try into an occupation, said Margaret Thompson, Home Economics Department head. An effectual Home EC. program helps youth to clarify and establish goals as well as develop home and occupational talents. Manzano's Home Ec. Dept. offers classes in Foods, Clothing, Preparation for Marriage and Parenthood and a Child Care program where students care for children for two periods a day. H.l.R.O. is a year program designed for students interested in training for a career in the hospitality industry, said judy Todd.
