QL QL ft fl ' Q: ' au E lb-L. ii Li: W... D E l - New Attendance Procedures Are in Effect This Year Have you been in Manzano's Administrative Office very often? Well, if you have, then you know how hard our staff and secretaries work for us. It's not easy running a school. Under that mass of confusion are some of our most diligent working and supportive people that Manzano has. With the 'new attendance pro- cedures this year, of being allowed only five absences in a semester, the office has been kept tremendously busy trying to explain the necessity of this to each student and to keep all students informed of where they stand in absences. Unfortunately, their job often goes unthanked, but few are as concerned about our education as these are. rl. Ted Espinosa - Assistant Principal, Student Services 2. Peggy Piper - Assistant Principal, Instruction. 3. Will George - Assistant Principal, Buildings and Materials. 4. Elizabeth A. Tilley - Student Activities Director. 5. Anna Schiemenz - Secretary to Mr. Daugherty. 6. Lucy Tubbs - Secretary to Mr. Espinosa. 7. lan Kilmartin - Secretary to Miss Piper and Registrar. 8. Carolyn Day'- Attendance Clerk. 9- Louise Hardy - Bookkeeper and Secretary to Mr. George. 36 is ssh- i 1

C L Q M t Z Q LKJ Counseling Aide Benefits Many of Manzano's Students Aside from normal counselor activities, such as changing schedules, helping students choose an objective for the future, our counselors have taken a sincere interest in Manzano's students as indi- viduals, spending hundreds of voluntary hours at Manzano activities and just being with the students at their level. The special ability that a counselor has to have for being able to see deep into a per- son's personal problem and help him decide within himself what is right for him, is so often lost under the mounds of clerical paper work, but not so for our counselors. We wish to thank you for your consistent caring. 1. Mary Caccamise - Head Counselor 2. Carl Guevara - Counselor 3. Ann Lehman - Counselor 4. Ed Levin - Counselor 5. jerry Long - Counselor 6.
