rl - Registration for second semester was held in the Media Center and went pretty smoothly. 2. What was the best part of registration? It was the day off. 3. Beautiful Erica Martinez was crowned DECA Sweetheart. In january, second semester began. It was a time for spirit for all our wins in sports, a time to make up for what you may have missed the first semester, a time to build new relationships, and to our Seniors, the final stretch for their twelve years of school and then, they are out . .. free to decide whether or not to go on to college. january was a time for beginnings. 2 - Vacation Ends 10-11 - Gallup Wrestling Invite 14 - Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert 16-18 - All State Chorus Convention and Concert at U.N.M. 22-24 - Semester Tests 22-24 - M.H.S. Erica Martinez was crowned DECA Sweetheart which was cele- brated at the DECA Sweetheart Dance and Randy Brighance was award- ed most valuable player at the Football Banquet. The Modern Choir sponsored a Talent Show also, at which time jeff Kidwelltook first with a john Denver song, Sweet Surrender. 6' You better be good, l'm telling you why... Santa Claus is coming to town, sang Debbie Norris for part of her performance along with Amy Whidney for competition in the Talent Show. 7. Get down, get down ... Clyde Moore exhibits a fine talent in dance. 8- Under the direction of Mrs. Carol Wade, the Mixed Chorus performed as part of the Christmas Concert given, accompanied by a small ensemble group.

Sandy Williams feathering a poster. 7, Always behind us ... our band. 8- Boy, What spirit we Monarchs have! When they say bury the Ravens ... we bury the Ravens. 9. Precisely what we did. Women's Libbers should've been happy as members of the girls' basketball team joined the guys to play at the assembly. 11, Valentine-O-Grams were delivered by Student Council again this year. Paul Zahn in what is probably a very comfortable position right now after so many baskets this season. fl M Club really got into the confetti throwing. l
