Outstanding Monarchs... 4 , I' S l You may recognize Pancho as the guy who was in the right place at the right time two years in a row on our State Champion Basketball team. Pancho is a fantastically skilled basketball player, who enjoys it as much as he is good at it. He has devoted thousands of hours to it and is willing and ready to spend thousands more to work towards making basketball a career. Pancho is a member of the M-Club and helped work the concession stand in his free time. He likes to ride motorcycles. Pancho plans to go on to college and if he just does half as well as he did here, we'll be watching him on T.V. and saying, I remember when... O Ruth was active in the National Honor Society here at Manzano. She was also on the Speech Team as a debator and Women's Extemp. Ruth was also president of the Speech Team. Aside from school Ruth shows quarter horses throughout the Southwest. She gives riding les- sons and trains young horses for show shape. Along with her family, she raises horses and runs a breeding operation. Ruth tutored partially deaf children. She en- joys swimming, water skiing, basketball, hiking, Camping, fishing, reading, and all forms of music. For the future, Ruth plans to become a Speech Therapist. She plans to receive her B.A. at UNM and then do something special for her masters, perhaps in Europe or somewhere on the East Coast.
