Manzano's beautiful student body once again showed its best side at the Prom last May held at the Convention Center. The Spanish Club took a weekend trip to Chihuahua, offered each year in the spring, involving about 40 of Manzano's students. They were welcomed warmly by the people they met and all enjoyed the trip. Up the Down Staircase was drama's spring production and Ms. Tansey's last production at Manzano after five years as drama teacher. Student body elections took place towards the end of school, with Tracy Green winning the election and heading the student body for the year 1974- 75. jay Rogers, a junior, was chosen to work with Tracy as vice-president. The Seniors' Awards Assembly was held the last of May followed by their long awaited ... graduation, the first week ofjune. As for the rest of us, school continued for two weeks after the Seniors left us. Yearbooks had been presented right before the Seniors left and most of the last two weeks was spent in the signing of them. 20
