Spanish Honor Society Holds Canned Food Drives Spanish Honor Society is a very select group choosing only students of exceptional knowledge and speaking a- bility of Spanish. Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Frances Cassino, Foreign Language Department head, the club has many varied fund raising projects throughout the year, including canned food drives at Thanksgiving and Christmas for the poorer families in Albuquerque. The club is very involved with the Spanish Club, with many activities concerning both. Spanish Club Learns About Culture in Chihuahua We try to increase our knowledge of the culture by a trip to Chihuahua each year and attending plays and oth- er Spanish events throughout the year and it's a lot of fun when we all do it together, said ludy Lynes, publications manager. Every year near Valentine's Day, Spanish Club holds a party for underpriviledged children that includes games, favors, and most important, good food. Spanish Club al- so has a soccer team that challenges French and German Clubs throughout the year.
