Getting back into the swing of things, the girls' tennis went into the '75 season with much enthusiasm. This as Miss Eyberse's first year as head girls' tennis coach. Her team was young, but she had hopes of good compe- tition to other teams. The girls are hard working and are very confident. There are four girls returning from last year who will be a great asset to the team. They are: Laure Gedanic, Mia Anaya, Suzanne Livesay, and Dinah Taylor. The varsity team consists of nine girls, three sophomores, two juniors, and four seniors. 1 . Playing without their number three player, Ken Frankenfeld, the young Monarchs placed 4th in a field of 20 at the San juan open in Farming- ton, 3rd among 20 in Los Alamos, and 3rd among 19 at the Paradise Hills invitational. George Thompson, Kurt Muller, Nick Shinkle, and Ken Frankenfeld all finished in the top ten in district. Earning letters by playing in four tourna- ments are Nick Shinkel, senior, George Thomp- son, junior, Kurt Muller, junior, Ken Franken- feld, sophomore, Kelly Mumbower, senior, lim Osborne junior, and Mark West, sophomore. This is the largest number of lettermen Manzano has ever had.
