Senior Pam Sedillo, a petite and sparkling five-footer, has a naive and effervescent attitude which sometimes belies her quick wit and the compe- tence with which she works. Her high grade point average earned her mem- bership in National Honor Society and she has been a dependable and capable worker in many other fields as well. One of her greatest contributions to the school has been on the newspaper staff. As a junior, she was the advertising manager of the ROYAL MONARCH, and she was chosen associate editor as a senior to share the responsibility of editing the publica- tion. She was also chosen to receive a staff award for excellence for her contribution to the publication. Working on committees for such activities as Homecoming as the Prom have earned Pam the reputation of being a reliable helper. Drama has been another of Pam's interestsg she has belonged to the Drama Club for three years and to National Thespian Society for two years. Pam is a member of the newly formed International Club and has been a delegate to the Albuquerque Youth Council for two years. A science fair entrant as a sophomore, she has volunteered her study hall this year to work in the attendance office. Bowling, swimming, writing are the hobbies which Pam enjoys most. She is deciding between the University of Colorado and Colorado State University for a college choice in the fall when she will begin a major in either math or engineering. Echoing the interests of a majority of teenagers, Denny listed sports of all kinds including golf and bowling as his major hobbies and his participation in two of Manzano's varsity sports is consistent with this interest. He is also a member of M Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As a senior this year, he was elected secretary-treasurer of the FCA. Denny has participated in two sports at Manzano-basketball and baseball. He has earned two varsity letters in baseball, was a part of Manzano's State Championship baseball team in 1967 and will be doing his best to help his teammates re-capture that crown this spring. A third baseman, Denny was a member of the Baron squad as a sophomore. Two years on the Baron basketball team gave Denny the experience he needed to move up to the varsity as a senior and do an outstanding job. A consistently hard competitor, Denny's quickness and aggressiveness made him one of the starting guards and one who could be counted on to spark the team. One of five juniors nominated to receive the West Point Leadership Award, Denny has served as an activities office assistant as a senior. An appointment to the Naval Academy at Annapolis is Denny's hope at this time, however, he will proba- bly go to the University of New Mexico should there not be one available. Denny plans on majoring in engineering, but he has not selected a specific field in which to study. .. e. 'Q' S 'll -w ti ' W' fsfh i , W. -, At- xt X141 I

Three of Bob's letters were earned in wrestling where he had placed in the district competition and qualified for state every year. This season Bob was expected to make his finest showing at the state tournament when the teachers' walkout disquali- fied all of the Albuquerque wrestlers from the tourney. Bob has also earned three letters in track and has qualified for state each year also. Bob's other two letters were earned in football where he played the end position. Active in activities of both his class and the Student Council, Bob has been one of the most reliable workers on every occasion. He has served for three years as a Student Council representative and has been a delegate to the district student council meeting. Another major interest for Bob has been musicg he has been a member of the Honor Choir for three years and was chosen vice president of the choir this year.
