Stu- dents in visual fundamentals, painting, and ceramics classes are instilled with the techniques and skills necessary to express their ideas and emotions in an accomplished and skilled manner. The metal work, wood and drafting shops develop consumer literacy and useful skills as well as educating the student in procedures, safety routines, and co-operative attitudes. Such classes encourage self-expression through developed skills. Each class builds student appreciation of the industry involved. Safety lectures precede the actual working experiments. Industrial arts are of extreme significance and such classes are invaluable. Salomon Mora and Edmun Hatcher prepare to cut their wood for individual wood shop projects. 4I
