Faculty-Curriculum A few basic rules and preliminary patterns for life are a neces- sity of society, and in this rapidly changing world they are an equally essential part of each individual's education. Teachers, counselors, administrators and staff members com- bine their knowledge and professional skills in order to provide the most efficient program for learning possible. The faculty works to provide a functional unification of studies and recreation. As a result of such efforts each Manzano student is assured that his personal goals for high school will be met in the most efficient and rewarding way possible. The staff at Manzano is a dedicated one. Their standards are high and their determination to create the most serviceable pattern for education is great. E '

Manzano students are extremely fortunate to have as their principal, a man who is not only concerned with the efficiency of school activities and curriculum but is gifted with a genuine concern for the welfare of the 2100 individuals under his guid- ance. This personable man, Jewell Brown, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed. Mr Brown was selected to appear in the 1968 edition of Outstanding Personalities in the West and Midwest, and the Secretary of State recognized him for his outstanding service in all matters pertaining to the welfare and progress of New Mexico. A member of NMEA, the NEA and the State and National Associations of Secondary Schools Prin- cipals, Mr. Brown maintains a civic interest in the educational program. Mr. Brown received his advanced training from Co- lumbia Teacher's College and his background has proved more than ample for him in his responsible position as principal.
