Two branches of the music department which serve Manzano at special functions are the dance and marching bands. The Dance Band members share a special talent in the modern techniques of music. They devote a great deal of their spare time in order to practice so that their performances at Manzano and other schools will be exam- ples of maximum skill. The Manzano marching band members devote an hour before each school morning, during the football season to rehearse complicated for- mations and intricate precision drills. Their performances at games, both marching and in the stands, helps to promote spirit among spectators and players as well.
