Comprised of Manzano varsity letterman the M Club is designed to promote spirit and a sportsman-like attitude among the students as well as to serve less fortunate Albuquerquens in as many ways as possible. Bruce Ainsworth, an outstanding representative of Manzano in various facets of the sports world is the president elect of M club. Through various types of sales, dances and other such activities, the M club treasurer, boasted a S250 totaled earnings by January of '68. These outstanding young leaders raised money to send homeless boys to Dodger baseball games and furnished them with T-shirts. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a city-wide group, organized to promote good in- ter-school relationships among all high-school athletes of Albuquerque. Meeting each month, they sponsor speakers that are professionals in the world of athletics, hold banquets, and generally encourage desirable ideals such as good sports- manship, top spirit and a good sense of humor. Led by Bruce Markham, president of the Man- zano FCA, these boys are invaluable in their cause of spirit promotion. FCA sponsors included DuWayne Blackshear, Ross Hahl, and Robert Nunn.
