Publications To some people, writing is a vital means of expression. These people feel a compulsion to express, and in order to further their natural capacity to communicate, they enter one of the three fields of journalism offered at Manzano. The school newspaper, the ROYAL MONARCH. keeps the student body aware of intra-school events through straight news stories, sports accounts, and editorials. The PHAETHON is an anthology of fellow students' literary endeavors, excellent example of creative writing at the high school level. The SCEPTER, an annual publication, is a pictorial journal of the school year's major events and the most valuable memories of the many irreplaceable moments at Manzano. The pattern ofa thorough high school education would be gravely incomplete were it not for the publications staffs which provide a way to save the priceless memories of each year. V
