Su,bm6aZeadeu 4 77Ze44cz9e Seniors, it gives me great pleasure to congratu- late you as you approach the completion of your high school course. The honor that will soon be yours will reflect credit on your parents, your school, and the community in which you live. You have taken advantage of one of the greatest blessings a state can bestow - a free education. The attainment of this worthy goal which you set for yourselves shows that you have ability and ambition. Our age is one of rapid change. American ideals of liberty, justice, and opportunity were won through struggle and sacrifice. The advantages we cherish have not been handed down fully developed. Every citizen has the responsibility of demonstrating the rightness of our traditions in everyday living. Your training for citizenship has included respect, under- standing, and good-will toward others. It is my hope that your lives will enrich your home communities by the fine quality of citizenship you are prepared to contribute. If you have the determination to continue your search for truth and justice, you will achieve happi- ness for yourselves and a better place to live for your fellow man. With youth, health, training, and a desire to serve, you should reach the goal you seek in your chosen career. You have my earnest wishes for yOU? success. Roy Alford

platdfidzpd Dear Students, Faculty, and Friends, Once again it is my deepest pleasure to greet you, to say to you, Nwell done, Students.H During the year 1950-1951 the faculty made a thorough study of our entire school program. We discovered our strong points and with your help, endeavored to keep them strong. Likewise, we dis- coveredxour weak points and set in motion activities to strengthen many of them. In December we were rated by a committee from the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges. This committee, too, pointed out our strong and our weak points. They made suggestions for strengthening our program, and we have attempted to carry out these suigestions. Our school is strong because of your congenial cooperation, true sportsmanship, and excellent work. For this I commend you. Today, as a friend and advisor, 1 ask your full cooperation,.in helping us overcome the weaknesses. By careful thought and diligent work we can make them into strengths for you and others who will fol- low you. Sincerely, F. E. Salter
