Student Council is to develop leadership, self-control, self-respect, and to organize a wholesome program of student activities that will be of benefit to the school and community. Each member is trained in the ways of a democratic government through student participation, and each is required to have a working knowledge of the constitution, the purpose, aims and objectives, and an understanding of the organization's program of work.

As set forth in the constitution of the Student Council, this committee has these distinct duties: Q11 To draw up the agenda for Student Council meetings. Q25 To study reports of committees and make recommendations to the council. Q31 To transact business as it sees fit with the permission of the council and the administration.
