NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY PROBATIONERS Sophomores with high scholastic averages are evaluated on Scholarship, Leadership, and Service to become Probationers. This organization serves as an incentive for students to strive to become members of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society officers are Georgetta Marshall, president, Jesse Chandler, vice-president, Marjorie Westbrooks, secretary, Kerma Taylor, as. secretary, Carolyn Anita Barnes, treasurer, Denise Elliott, chaplain, Adam Herbert, parliamentariang and Arvella Glasco, Student Council representative. STATE HONOR SOCIETY Scholarship is considered as a key of knowledge. Knowledge is a basic necessity of intel- lectual development. Members of the State Honor Society are selected on the basis of scholarship. Students in this organization represent the upper 10 per cent of our school. The officers are Barbara GoVan, president, Samuel Roberts, vice-presidentg Margo Simms, secretaryg Freddie Cotton, as. secretary, Carolyn A. Barnes, treasurerg Linda Twine, chaplain, Adam Herbert, parliamentariang and DeVette French, Student Council representative. The sponsors of the State and Probationers are Mrs. M. B.
