The club participates in the State Rally held in Langston, Oklahoma, and co-sponsors with the N. F. A. a banquet and ball. At the present time, a community beautification project is under way. TRADE AND INDUSTRIAL DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION The T. and I. Club is active in promoting public relations. Some of the projects of the T. and I. Club include the operation of live classes at the Oklahoma Free State Fair and displaying samples of the year's work at the annual spring show. This gives the public an insight ofthe functions of the trade departments. Each year a representative of industry is brought into the school to acquaint the entire student body, specifically, as to the qualification of an individual to fit into the industrial program. This is an objective program which makes a vast contribution in the guidance of students. The year 's work is then terminated with a magnificent annual Trade and Industrial Prom which helps to develop the social aspect of the individual and encourage an atti- tude of getting along with other people. Each student has a special purpose for taking this course which will be personal value, or a tool that will help obtain an interesting and profitable position in business. Home Service is a course that provides a student with the opportunity to learn professional standards of all phases of homework. COMMERCIAL ART I' r E The Commercial Art Department at Manual was organized in 1960 under the direction of Mr. B. I. Coleman. Students enrolled in this class do valuable work for the school. Included among their pro- jects are Commercial Bulletin Drawing, Truck Lettering, Silk Screen Lettering, Gold Leaf Lettering and Creative Art. CABINET MAKING The Cabinet Making Department, under the direction of Mr. V. L. Foshee supplies the twenty schools in the Mus- kogee school district with chairs, tables, desks, and many other articles of furni- ture.
