FUUTBALL The football team got- off to a good start this year with a victory over West The cockle burrs and the gravel began, however, to take their toll, and the team lost several games before roundly trouncing East in a fine exhibition of rock-em, sock-em football. This victory did a lot for making the season a successful one. BQLDEII SMI 'l'I'l West .....,. The aim of the club is to help all Nisei students take an active role in the affairs of the school. This year the club, under the capable leadership of Min Chado, sponsored the Red Cross Assembly and made a contribution for the French Orphan unequaled by any other group. The club also participated in the Brotherhood Week program. ...gL I I I I I I I I CHRI TMA! PHGFANT I I I I I 1 The traditional Christmas pageant was, as always, very impressive. Get- ting copy ready, meeting deadlines, getting pictures, pasting up, and sweating out the printer on each issue is a tough job, and every member of the staff deserves a vote of thanks for his hard work throughout the year. BASEBALL When interviewed, Coach Gorham reported that he didn't expect to win more than all of the games his team will play this spring. We didn't like to see him crying in his towel, so We reminded him that it was probably due to the fact that he has only six returning letterrnen to rely on. One of the coach's bitterest regrets was that he had to cut from the squad the man in whose car he was riding to City Park each day. ,iw wx if x Q X sg K , -wx 'f Q MM., x Q w ww - ' fx A QQ Q R l K Q' f .wg 'Q ' fgvdxizwv x 'ff 34.
