I n Record Time. The construction of the New Manual High Schoolwas finished in record breaking tinie. The dedication took place on january 27, l963, followingthe move two days before it. The dedication was made by the contractor andimportant members of the Board of Edu- cation and school. There were guided tours throughout the day. The buildingwas finally ours! Mr. Bourland,presidentof the Board of Education, accepts the building from the architect, Ivlr. Jameson and the con- tractor, Mr. Heinz. Board members Mrs. Cleaver, Mr. Jameson, Mr. Bourlandg Mr. Mason,Deang and Mr. Greeley, Board Business Mana- ger listens to address from Superintendent Dr. Mark Bills. Mr. Greeley,ourPrincipal Mr. Weldon, and Mr. Adamson, Peoria County Superintendent of Schools and former Manual Principal enjoy the ceremonies. The crowd at Dedication Day numbered 5000 people.
