It was under the capable direction of Miss Gene Kropel. The show involved a harassed Broadway producer and the star of his show. The production was in two acts. The first act depicting back stage of a production, while the second act showed the finished product. Production of the paper is done, for the most part, by the students. The typists type the columns on l.B.M. machines, justify these columns, and then proofread them. Members of the printing staff set the headlines and run off the final copies. Another important group, the Business Staff, take charge of all advertising, sales, and distribution. They come to school in the afternoon and on Saturdays. They not only receive credit for this work but they are also paid a wage. When they graduate in lune, they have a permanent job all lined up where they have trained during the year. The Manual Student Advisory Council was organized in the spring of l949. The council is composed of one student elected from each advisory. its functions are to express the wishes of the student body, promote several independ- ent projects, and work in cooperation with the Student Council for a better Manual.
