As season of 1942. far as record books are concerned, there is but one victory mark for the football Between the lines, however, there's a different story, one which means more than a goodly share of victories. From mid-noon to dusk, without a Quitter on the squad, our Rams practiced faithfully, bearing to keep their dignity in the heat of the battle. In their hearts was the game which stands for a common faith in decency, courage, and the will to win-a game known as football. Although the honor of forever winning was not theirs, our boys gained the victory of friendship with their new coach, Buck Smith, loyalty toward their school, and courage in their hearts. Manual . Bringing to life the old adage: Great things come in small packages, the Manual basketball squad of 1943 was known as the midget team. With only a small number of players who topped the six-feet mark, opponents realized that a,short, quick-moving fellow can be a great asset to any team. Although they were slow in starting their season, our fivers hnally gained confxdence in themselves and surprised many a Manualite with their peppiness. Being publicised as the Hgoldust twins, Bob Hoffman and Glen Hagan formed the engine ,of the Manual machine with their brilliant teamwork. The squad this year was made up mostly of juniors and sophomores which means that the season of '44 should certainly be a good one! . Hamilton Registrar-Mr. Asa Carter RADLEY is a non-sectarian, coeducational college with a program which unites a liberal education, preparation for a major interest, and experience in practical Iife under guidance and counsel. The carefully selected student body of 800 comes from twenty-four states and four foreign countries. Bradley is on the approved list of the Association of American Univer- sities and the American Association of University Women. It is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools as a degree-granting institution, by the University of Illinois with Class A stand- ing, and by the Illinois State Department of Public Instruction. Bradley has unusually large curricular offerings for a small college. Besides regular liberal arts courses, there are departments in business administration, home economics, industrial education, music, art, and nursing. It has a na- tional reputation. ATHLETICS ' Bradley supports and is interested in interfcollegiate and intra-mural athletics. ln addition to a schedule of football, basketball, baseball, track, and tennis, which is arranged each year with leading middle western col- leges and universities, the division of intra-mural athletics provides a well organized program which gives meaning to the aim, Sports for All. Such teams participate in all of the games mentioned above and in golf, archery, wrestling, hand ball, volley ball, swimming, tumbling and boxing. EXPENSES Bradley is not an expensive college for the student. It is endowed and is constantly increasing its resources in order that students will be required to pay as small a fraction of the cost of an education as possible. The tuition is very reasonable. This is especially noticeable when comparison is made with other standard colleges which do not offer as extensive technical, scien- tific, and laboratory courses.
