Operations Management The management of an educational institution requires the utmost co-operation of all the personnel. Mr. James Boyd is responsible for the smooth operations of all departments of Manual High and Vocational School. MR. OLIVER B. MINNEY, who for many years was the school engineer. His sole thought was to provide adequate heat. A comfortable body lends to a contented mind. God bless his retire- ment days. MRS. ERVA WISER at school before dawn, planning preparing and cooking the meals for the student body and all employees. Hall to a well nourished body. MRS. DOROTHY C. NOFFTZ, who helps our cafeteria customers realize their obligations. Honesty Is the best policy. 12

The Manual Library serves the students and faculty of Manual High and Vocational School with over fifteen thousand books and subscriptions to thirty-five current periodicals. There is one trained librarian. Miss Ruth Bird, and several student assistants throughout the school day who give their time as part of their Service Society duties. First hour, Dena Klinghagen delivers overdue book notices; third hour Melvin Fischer checks the mail, processes new books, and fills English department orders; fifth hour Cleo Miller helps at the desk by checking passes; sixth hour Judith Brakebill and Manual's Library MISS RUTH BIRD Clay Green fill orders for books, mend books, and run errands for the librarian; seventh hour Jesse Aguirre distributes to teachers’ boxes all library passes for the day. These students make a real contribution to the school by making it possible for the library to function effectively.
