Counselor Vivian Jackson Dean of Girls Everett Parrish Assistant Principal Terance Vanderheyden V E A Counselor Eugene Barmore Head Counselor Conferring on the problems of Dommguez are Mrs Kerry and Mn Gibbings Cleaning up in the cafeteria is not ordinarily Mr Banks s |ob but he gladly lends a helping hand whenever needed Dealing with the problems of a constantly growing and changing school is not a one man job. Problems concerning curriculum, discipline and activities are constantly demanding attention To assist Mrs. Kerry in running the school are our vice-pnncipals In charge of discipline, activities, and curriculum, and our counselors Helping m the area of discipline is Mr Banks He has helped in cleaning up the campus by eliminating the problems of truancies, tardies and outsiders on campus Mrs Gibbmgs, in charge of curriculum, has helped Introduce new courses to the current course selection Trying to obtain the best materials needed for a good education is also another aspect of her |ob Working with students in planning activities was Mr Parrishs |ob Throughout the year he not only helped in planning assemblies but also helped set up our sports schedule Helping in the field of curricular problems was our Head Counselor, Mr Barmore Not only assisting students with rescheduling of classes, he also helped students in meeting important college deadlines Mrs Jackson, as Dean of Girls, assists Mr Banks in disciplinary problems concerning girls Spending much time and effort in assisting students are our counselors They have always tried to make an all-out effort to help students with any problem, ranging from college plans to personal problems Also assisting the counselors has been the College Commitment room, staffed by students from U C L.A The Commitment room has greatly helped seniors in their plans for college In charge of the North American Rockwell program, HIP., and Junior Achievement are our V E A. counselors, Mr. Vanderheyden and Mr Milanez They ' are also in charge of the Work Experience, in which students attend school part-time and work the remaining time
