Stage Crew and Mumulinis Perform The Stage Crew were very active this year Their mam |ob IS to set up props, assemble chairs and make sure there is perfect lighting for various assemblies, and shows on campus. The president of the crew is Kevis Turner who is a senior. The stage crew is sponsored by Mrs. Griffin The Mumulinis are a group of young ladies who sponsor many functions around campus They have sponsored bake sales and candy sales The mumulinis take great pride in presenting the most festive occasion of the year. Black History week. Some of the members read speeches over the PA system Their new sponsor Miss Furlow helped them very much in planning their many activities. Thespians are a national group consisting of fine actors and actresses The Dominguez High Thespians are noted for their talent and ability In addition to the lunch box shows, they also sponsored a Billy Preston concert which raised money for the proposed Dominguez Amphitheater Lights. Williams R Blair A Frame In the past years the Dominguez High School Band was fairly small and not recognized by the student body as much as it should have been 1973. this is the year of the band The band with its some sixty members displayed great musical talent In our assemblies, parades, and outside competition The band took first place in the Compton Christmas Parade They are sponsored by Mr D Patterson, who did an exceptional job in working with the members The band worked hard to raise money for their new uniforms One fund raising activity was a candy sale, that brought in most of the needed money It is unfortunate that the uniforms arrived too late in the year Some of the members of the band were asked to play at the Compton College Homecoming Festivities, which was truly a great honor The band plays at homecoming o a n ti I »fc.
