A.S.B. Presidents Nanette White-2nd Semester AS B President. As A SB. president I have learned things that I will never forget I have learned that I am somebody, but that I am no better than anybody else I have learned that presidency is not a one-man job Before I got involved in student politics, I did not feel at liberty to express my ideas Before I got the recognition that other leaders of the school have gotten, I felt as if I did not count and therefore I did not do anything That was my greatest misconception While I was looking to others to get the )ob done, i should have been looking to myself My advice to everyone is do not make the same mistake I made Instead of recognizing me, recognize yourself, because as far as student lies in your hands The problem of apathy can be solved only when all of you realize that you are somebody too Bonita Bradshaw-lst Semester ASB President, feels that serving as president was an experience It takes a lot of responsibility and a lot of patience It has its good times and has its bad times When a student runs for an office, he must be willing to work because he can hold back progress of not only himself but of his fellow class mates The responsibility is a big one, if one devotes all of his spare time Everyone should be involved in school government If you feel that you ' re not satisfied with your education and that things aren ' t being done right, get involved in your student Government and find out what you can do and where you stand You ' re no different from anyone else, you should be given the same opportunity to succeed as any of your peers 166
