The Madrigals seem to glide thru this year, smoothly as they performed superbly in the various programs at Dominguez They worked very hard to display the talent of singing to its perfection The group is some w hat small, but their ability to inspire audiences was great The Modern Dance group created with imagination, dances for understanding and awareness The group is sponsored by Mrs Fisher, who not only is an excellent instructor, but strives to improve the gracefulness and techniques of her students The Modern Dance displayed an exceptional performance during Black History Week The Gospel and Mixed Choir are two of the many musical groups around campus who have delighted and intrigued their many audiences Both of the groups performed in our annual Christmas program and displayed great singing ability in our Black History Festivities The groups are deeply devoted to the art of song and have been greatly influenced by their sponsors, Mrs Conedy and Miss Hunter Modern Dance group performs African Dance at Black History Assembly Bonom C Smith, T Miller, C Tucker, B Williams, G Bailey, D Bradley, G Johnson, L Toliver, M Morgan, C Cumby, J Vargas, Row 2 Phillips. This Year- The V E A depar tment sponsors four programs which have achieved outstanding popularity as career exploratory programs under direction of Mr f ilanez They are the High School Improvement Program. Junior Achievement. Model Cities and Advanced Communication Techniques There are approximately one-hundred Dominguez students enrolled in these programs Classes are held two or three times a week on the average Many of the students look forward to their night in class with enthusiasm While having a chance to explore and learn many career courses such as Technical Illustration. Computer Programming and Machine shop, the students also have a chance to explore distinct fields of employment opportunities V E A classes include Electronics.
