Homecoming. . . No one could wait for Homecoming day, Anxious to see our football team play. The cheerleaders were happy and having fun. They cheered themselves down like the setting sun. Everyone was in suspense As they announced the King and Queen. There was more excitement than anything we ' ve seen. The Queen, King and court were so lovely and bright. Everyone was thrilled half-time turned out so right. Our team did not win; they ' ll try harder next year. And once again we all will cheer.

i. V I A festive occasion Half-time activities were exciting as Toni Bolden and Lonnie Hinton, com- missioners of athletes (top left), an- nounced the Homecoming Court of 79-80. Carolyn DeCosta and Reginald Mathews were 10th grade Princess and Prince. 11th grade Princess and Prince were Kathleen McKinney and Miles Morrison. The senior class was represented by 4th runners-up, Co- queise Fuller and Von Parchman; 3rd runners-up, Sandra Sterling and Gregory Barnes; 2nd runners-up, Kcedar Lewis and Edis Anderson; 1st runners-up, Patricia Boyd and Ken- neth Battle. Gail Smith and Bernard Hamilton (top right) returned to give up the crowns they received in ' 78 to Mitzi Archer and Ricky McGowan, Homecoming Queen and King ' 79. Tamara Lewis and Keith Allen (bot- tom left) introduced Councilman Farrell to the student body as part of the Homecoming activities.
