Coftomllm, Utafci u)lwt fidendi ane u Ho omecoming 1986 brought out the school spirit in everyone. Monday led the week with Dress-up day, on which students and faculty put on their dressiest clothes for a day. That evening Dan Olive and Shanin McNeil were crowned king and queen for 1986-87. Congratulations to the other king and queen candidates and underclass- men attendants: Missy Engel, Terrie Durst, Den- ise Holecek, Traci Nelson, and Rhonda Wigham. Tim Benson, David Derby, Scott Sparks, Gary Suess, and Chris Wanous. Freshmen class atten- dants, Gena Hettervig and Jeremy Bigelow, Sophomore class attendants, Robyn Gerving and Steve Walker, Junior class attendants, Stacie Durst and Jay Lonien, and Student Council Member, Scott Benson, and AFS Student, Ana Gaspar. Tuesday the students put on their ber- mudas, Hawaiian shirts, and shades to brighten up the school. Then they showed off their cheering ability to help our volleyball teams sweep past Winona Cotter. Wednesday brought all sorts of wierd things. Students and teachers dressed in clothes fitting a certain occupation! The volleyball team traveled to Rochester to go up against Mayo. We didn't need any music or even a band because he had tons of K.-M fans jamming in the stands! The big day came fast and it was suddenly FRIDAY! With all the excitement of the day, who could study? The pepfest was full of wonderful things, including a very funny skit by the sophomore class led by Todd Hughes. The teachers came out to do the year cheer and our male female cheerleaders entertained us with a cheer and The Wave! The annual parade through Kasson gave the students a chance to show off their handy work on floats. The fans helped lead the football team to victory over Austin Pacelli and then danced the night away to music by Sudden Impact. Morning came and the homecoming festivities were over for this year at least. For the Seniors it was the end of high school homecomings and a very sad time, but life at KMHS still goes on. 4
