BACK TO t's the beginning of a new year and the first day of school is full of wonderful sights. Here we have gathered pic- tures of just a few of the sights seen around the school on the first day. Welcome back to the home of the KoMets! The first day of school is suddenly here, and going back is what we fear. We hate to leave our favorite places, but we're excited to see all the faces. We'll wander aimlessly around the halls, until the schoolbell starts to call. Today we must learn all the rules, and tomorrow we'll get to the real part of school. Homework, homework that's all we'll do, but we have to have a little fun too. The last day of school seems a long way away, especially since we have to survive the first day! The first day as a senior! Denise Hole- cek, Denise Bartel, Rhonda Wigham, Terrie Durst, Jenny Wharton, Missy Engel, Hilary Trow, Tim Brawthen, and Heidi Kujath on their first day as seniors. Mr. Yell checking his watch to make sure he's not late for class! 2

We feel that this year proved to be very successful for both teach- ers and students at K-M. Life at K-M can be quite fun, if we want it to be. Hanging around our friends, showing our spirit at games, or just get- ting into trouble are all memories that everyone has had at K-M. We hope that we are able to recapture those memories in the following pages of this yearbook. Only we students of Kasson- Mantorville know what it's like to live the LIFE AS A KOMET! Thanks for your support, Kari, Lara, and Mary Jo Editors of the 1986-87 yearbook
