Volleyball Championship) yet many unfulled goals summerize the 1982 Volleyball Season. Our 16-3 season was second only to the 17-3 of the 1981 Komets. Success is sometimes not measured in the actual achievement of goals but the effort put forth and the continual quest for excellence. Our preparation for the season began with the 29 who attended the K-M Volleyball Camp featur- ing Wally and Sam of Apple Valley High School and Jill Halsted of the U of M-All-American. The skills of hitting, passing, setting, Rolling, doing the “JETSON”, and doing warm-ups to “The Eye of the Tiger” occupied the week. We scrimmaged the best we could find: RCC, St. Charles and Southland; and Apple Valley (once ranked 5th in State AA). Our 7 seniors were excellent. I doubt if Southern Minnesota has a better passer than Rhonda Jensen, who also lead us in service points. No one worked harder than Renata Borgstrom. Cindy Christenson and Staci Bigelow would have started on most teams in the area. Our Tri-Captains Alisa Mienert, Mary Tollefson, and Raegen Bradford also represented K-M on the H.V.L. All Conference team. We will miss these people. 1982 Schedule 16-3 Rochester Lourdes Rochester John Marshall Wanamingo Rochester Mayo West Concord Lourdes Tourney Blooming Prairie Lourdes Wabasha-Kellogg Hayfield Dodge Center Cannon Falls Byron Lake City Pine Island Plainview Zumbrota Stewartville Goodhue (dist 4) Claremont (dist 4) 18-5; 18-7 15-18;18-11;18-11 18-11;18-11 18-9;16-18;10-18 18-11;18-4 18-1;18-16 18-5;18-6 18-1;4-18;18-11 18-4;18-8 18-6; 18-9 18-12;18-7 18-2; 18-4 18-13;18-11 18-10;13-18;18-10 11-18;18-12;15-18 18-9; 18-6 18-8;18-8 18-10;13-18;18-6 14-18;11-18 21
