K-JI Harriers The 1974-75 Cross Country team started their season at Fairbault. K-M was faced with a rebuilding year. Several injuries during the season to Jeff Wendler, Randy Ranvek, and Dave Christenson, slowed the team down. The annual K-M Jaycee meet was held in the normal down pour at the Zumbro Valley Golf Course. K-M had the best overall team race at Cannon Falls. For the future outlook, K-M will lose two lettermen, Jeff Wendler and John Allen. Both will be missed with Wendler being the top runner all year (11th place overall in HVL), and Allen being one of the hardest working runners. K-M will have a returning nucleus to build upon with lettermen, Dave Christen- son, Jon Ness, Jack Falkenhagen, and Randy Ranvek. In the 3 mi. race, 16:24 was the best time of the season made by Jeff Wendler. The next highest was 17:37, by Jon Ness. Wendler also passed 425 runners this season. HVL District III Mayo Invite Elgin Invite 8th of 9 teams. 14th of 15 teams. 20th of 23 teams. 11th of 14 teams. After a hard run, the team gets a new source of energy from oranges. Lori Allen, Angie Pike and Karlene Stark show homecoming spirit around the bon-fire. Another year of cheerleading is over, and as always the girls did an outstanding job of rep- resenting our school. For six senior girls cheering is over for good. No more Mon. and Thur. practices... no more tiring schedules... no more poster making. Bonny Deno, Marie Hoehn, Wanda Krieg, Cindy Madery, Angie Pike (Capt.) and Jenn Zelinski cheer- ed at their last football game on Oct. 25, against Kenyon. Bonny Deno (Capt.), Marie Hoehn (Head Capt.), Cindy Madery and Jenn Zelinski did a fine job in cheering the wrestlers to victories in HVL, Dist. and Reg. meets. Wanda Krieg (Capt.), and Angie Pike cheered at their last basketball game against Winona-Cotter in the Dist. finals. They too did a fine job of representing K-M. The cheerleader's loyality and spirit helped to guide the boys and girls to successful seasons. These qualities were also showen by the remaining sixteen girls, who with spirit-filled attitudes, will hopefully continue to cheer and support K-M. Jenn Haapala and Charis Johnson display a poster, with the help of Bonnie and Jurine. Alan Raygor and some of the cheerleaders in the homecoming parade. Bonny Deno, Cindy Madery, Jenn Zelinski and Marie Hoehn cheering at a district meet. 19
