Class History ,ye the class of ’54, entered our Freshmen year with twenty- eight members. During the year, however, we lost five members, je virr e remainder of twenty—three. As is t ie tradition v e Nvere honored with an initiation party given by the Sophomores. i r. Bee was cur class adviser that year end our Homecoming viueen ..ttend- ant wap Yoma Blood. The following year Elva Jean Clscn joined us repl.cing the absence of luVerne Denny. V.'e honored the new Freshmen class with a party we hope they’ll never forget. Cur class advisor was 1-iss Linehan. Cur Junior year be an with twenty-four meebers but, was reduced to twenty-three with the loss of Geraldine C'llulley. Al- though cur Homecoming float fai led to win a pri2e, the decorated Dyr., which we worked on with the aid of the Seniors, received many compliments. Delores Dchrmann was our v,ueen .attend- ant. On November 7, two events tccurec; one in which we received cur class, rings and the ether in which we presented cur highly successful play, Rest Assured. Urs. Engelstad was cur class adviser. Now we enter the Senior year, the last one for our twenty- one members. Early in the year cur Homecoming Day occured, which began with a well-organized parade. Unfortunately, we lost the football game to Byron. The defeat was entirley forgotten at the Homecoming Dance put on by the seniors and Juniors. Delores Dchrnenn was crowned iueen, with Dorothy Evans as Senior Olass Attendant» Another most important announcement was our win- ning of third prize with our float on which we had worked very hard. It was the first time that we have won a prize in all our four years of high school. Cne of the highlights of our last year was the trip to Winona where we had our Senior pictures taken by the idstrom Studio. The finished pictures were brought to us in November. We will always remember cur underclassmen and wish them the best of luck in their remaining years at U. H. S.
