V.e are now approacning Pittsburgh, Pennsyly .nia. There is a peculiar feature about this tr in. It has a lady engineer. They call her Engineer Annie, but her re..l name is LaVonne Denny. Be careful on the curves, LaVonne. I got off the train, and of all things there was a carnival in the station. The owner is Bill Hart. He is featuring the Siame. e twins, Poris and Dorothy Evans. (V.e know better, Bill). For goodness sakes, v.no is on top of that 450 foot chimney, on the 50 .tory building? Don't tell me—it is .Margaret Lally. Since when did she become a steeple-chaser? I am nov in Detroit making a to r of the Ford Flant. Why, there's ...lice Holton. Alice, what exactly is your job? Grease monkey!I My hair really needs a good washing. Here's a be uty shop, Enright's Basement Beauty Salon. Service is awfully slow in here. The hair .-tyli t is coming now. Well, if it isn't Shirley Paulson I While I'm not too far from Minnesota, I'll just take a lit- tle run up to the Twin Cities. This town is Wasioja. They must have put a track through it. The train is stopping and there is Elly Smith. What do you do, illy? I'm an A-Bomb distributor in Lower Wasioja!I!” Was I glad to get out of there II We have a few minutes in Rochester and I am eating in one of the various McLaughlin restaurants scattered throughout the state, 'aaryl McLau-'nlin. himself, is head cnef here. I'm nov. at the University of Minnesota listening to a lec- ture on life in coal mine. The lecturer is Frofessor Fhilip Bradford. Very interesting talk, Phil. The train has now stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming. There's Donna Robbins in a beautiful red Cadillac convertible. ,'h« runs a chain of gas stations scattered all over the United Sttes. She is really making money! We are now approacning Hollywood, California. I think I'll stay at the Statler Hotel. Who is that woman over on the other side of the lobby? Why—it’s Delores Dohrmann. I think I'll go over and talk to her. Can you feature th till! She was chosen queen of the California cherry pidkers and she is nov; leaving for an all expense paid trip to the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (How's she getting back???) I think I'll t ke in a movie, Don't Bother to Knock, starring Marilyn Monroe and Rodney Bornholt. Sounds very good. (It was!!’.!)------------------------------- ionite I must attend the theatre. Orlo Paslin.tton is going to do a famous b-.Het and also a tap dance. Well, my trip is ended and I must go home. Lots of luck to the Seniors of 1954. 15
