Now we enter the Senior year, the last one for our twenty- one members. Early in the year cur Homecoming Day occured, which began with a well-organized parade. Unfortunately, we lost the football game to Byron. The defeat was entirley forgotten at the Homecoming Dance put on by the seniors and Juniors. Delores Dchrnenn was crowned iueen, with Dorothy Evans as Senior Olass Attendant Another most important announcement was our win- ning of third prize with our float on which we had worked very hard. It was the first time that we have won a prize in all our four years of high school. Cne of the highlights of our last year was the trip to Winona where we had our Senior pictures taken by the idstrom Studio. The finished pictures were brought to us in November. The years have progressed rapidly and it is the year 1974. I am traveling around a bit in the United states and have now arrived in Ilev York at Madison Square Garden. Tonite they ire having wrestling mitcnes featuring Harry Hasten vs.----veil, what do you know---it.'s Ann Colburn as the 'Atomic Blonde.” Good Luck, aim. Seems like an exciting maten coming up next, Donnie .MiHer, alias ''Dynamite ..alt won by two falls o t of tnree. The train just left tne stution. Nov; I can read my paper, The Nev. York Gourilla. Intere, ting gossip column, wonder who wrote it? Can you beat that I.' It's by John Brunner. There are some very intere, ting tidbits nere. Toma i l.ud is m rried to John D. Rockefeller, he is a rich society lady who directs Indian plays in her pastime. Here it says that £l..n-r ..'els on was made a ohiek in Iran ana , ent tnere with his wife, .an Atc-.rt. ana tneir eight cnildrer.. Elmer v,.s formerly president, of the Dodge Company. He also had a magic show, it also says here that ..rlene Stafford is married to the rich and famous movie star, Lou Costello. Gos-ip is so interesting. V.e are now approacning Pittsburgh, Pennsyly .nia. There is a peculiar feature about this tr in. It has a lady engineer. They call her Engineer Annie, but her re..l name is LaVonne Denny. Be careful on the curves, LaVonne. I got off the train, and of all things there was a carnival in the station. The owner is Bill Hart. He is featuring the Siame. e twins, Poris and Dorothy Evans. (V.e know better, Bill). For goodness sakes, v.no is on top of that 450 foot chimney, on the 50 .tory building? Don't tell me—it is .Margaret Lally. Since when did she become a steeple-chaser? I am nov in Detroit making a to r of the Ford Flant. Why, there's ...lice Holton. Alice, what exactly is your job? Grease monkey!I My hair really needs a good washing. Here's a be uty shop, Enright's Basement Beauty Salon. Service is awfully slow in here. The hair .-tyli t is coming now. Well, if it isn't Shirley Paulson I While I'm not too far from Minnesota, I'll just take a lit- tle run up to the Twin Cities. This town is Wasioja. They must have put a track through it. The train is stopping and there is Elly Smith. What do you do, illy? I'm an A-Bomb distributor in Lower Wasioja!I!” Was I glad to get out of there II We have a few minutes in Rochester and I am eating in one of the various McLaughlin restaurants scattered throughout the state, 'aaryl McLau-'nlin. himself, is head cnef here. I'm nov. at the University of Minnesota listening to a lec- ture on life in coal mine. The lecturer is Frofessor Fhilip Bradford. Very interesting talk, Phil. The train has now stopped in Cheyenne, Wyoming. There's Donna Robbins in a beautiful red Cadillac convertible. ,'h« runs a chain of gas stations scattered all over the United Sttes. She is really making money! We are now approacning Hollywood, California. I think I'll stay at the Statler Hotel. Who is that woman over on the other side of the lobby? Why—it’s Delores Dohrmann. I think I'll go over and talk to her. Can you feature th till! She was chosen queen of the California cherry pidkers and she is nov; leaving for an all expense paid trip to the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (How's she getting back???) I think I'll t ke in a movie, Don't Bother to Knock, starring Marilyn Monroe and Rodney Bornholt. Sounds very good. (It was!!’.!)------------------------------- ionite I must attend the theatre. Orlo Paslin.tton is going to do a famous b-.Het and also a tap dance. Well, my trip is ended and I must go home.
