As eager young freshmen we jumped right into high school life. Even though we were low men on the totem pole we proved to all that we would survive. We proved that we were ready for competi- tions by winning the letterlighting contest We were so excited for our girls’ basketball team as they took state We realized that being freshmen wasn’t so bad after all. Our sophomore year came with new confidence. We knew how things ran now. As the year pro- gressed. our class branched out. becoming involved in many activi- ties We sweated over Ulysses but came through with flying col- ors. Many sophomore girls partici- pated in queen contests and came out triumphant Also several soph- omore girls played on the volley- ball team which took region that year. Moving on to our junior year, we remember selling candy bars and thermometers to make our prom something to remember As the big night grew nearer, we found ourselves having nightmares of go- ing to the prom with our fathers, but the prom did turn out to be a success We also remember the sports highlights of our junior year. Our football team made it to the play- offs for the first time in many years Our basketball team took second in the state in which juniors played a significant part. Juniors also played a major role in helping our baseball team take second in state. As you can see. our class is dominate in sports. Now our senior year has come with great excitement We are now the leaders of the school trying to live up to our responsibilities. Our class found new spirit as we won the letterlighting once agam, the homecoming float and our powder puff game The years have gone by quickly This is not the end - only our beginning We are the class of '87; we will succeed!
