The teen years are years in which the body is developing and growing and participating in Physical Education provided a method of becoming coordinated as well as offering an opportunity for students to learn new lifetime sports, and also provided a welcome break from solid subjects which each students must take each year.

MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE “I’m not gonna touch that thing!” Ah, the sweet smells of science: formaldehyde, frongs, bunsen burners, worms, sulphur, sharks. . We all have to take Science sometime to graduate, and it’s doubtful we’ll ever forget it; but, on the other hand, will a freshman ever forget his first experience with Geometry? The Math Department offered everything from Basic Math to Trigonometry. Mr. Clair Erickson Mr. Vaun Mickelsen Drawing maps, memorizing exports, imports, populations, or capital cities was a popular topic among freshmen since all had to take World Geography. Among Juniors the topic always seemed to be history journals, finalizing the last 200 pages of that extra thick history book, and finding enough newspaper articles when twenty other history students got to the morning paper before you did. With Seniors a more sophisticated course like Psychology, Economics, or American Problems seemed to fill the more mature mind. • o-i c zn
