Volleyball BUMP, SET, SPIKE.. .that's the way Manti Girls Volleyball Team plays. Dedication, teamwork, and determination to reach higher goals helped win them a First Place at the Manti Invitational and gave them a sensational league record of ten wins to one loss. Through their efforts they were Division Champions and captured a Fifth Place at Region. The most important things the girls gained from participating on the Volleyball Team were new and stronger friendships. The girls credit Miss Peggy Tucker for their success. She has worked hard, been understanding, and very patient. The girls learned to be Ladies First, and Athletes Second.'' Carry on the good work, Ladies!

Reigning over homecoming activities was SUE SNOW, representing the Senior Class of 1979. For the past two years, Sue has been active as a varsity cheerleader. She has also been involved in the music program and while keeping busy has maintained a high grade-point- average . The theme for the 1978 Homecoming Week was ' 'TIME''. Homecoming Week was planned for the month of September. As part of the traditional week, the Student Council planned the annual Letterlighting, Powder-Puff Football, and highlighted the week by sponsoring a dance after the football game. The cheerleaders helped increase school spirit during the week by conducting a Spirit Stick Competition. The Alumni Association sponsored the assembly. Returning to entertain the studentbody, were some of the more recent Manti High School graduates. 12 Queen
