We learned individuality and how to be ourselves; we learned unity and how to work with others. Breathless with anticipation, we began our Sophomore year. By winning the letterlighting we showed our potential abilities. We were the first Sophomore class to be able to buy school rings. Throughout the year, we expressed our enthusiasm and school spirit in all our activities. As Juniors, we were better acquainted with the ways of MHS. Full of enthusiasm, we won the spirit stick for the class with the most school spirit. We made a spirit chain” of three hundred red and white links. The Junior Prom turned out to be very successful. It was trying, yet enjoyable and rewarding for everyone. Knowing that this Senior year was our last at MHS, we were determined to make it the best. We won the Powder Puff football game, and the Homecoming Royalty was chosen from our class. More than ever before, we Seniors showed our enthusiasm and school spirit. The Senior class, having reached the crossroads of life, looks back and knows that we will only be united again through the memories of our beloved Manti High. An emptiness will be felt in the hearts of each member of the Senior class as we leave MHS. But, our Senior year isn’t the end —only the beginning of the rest of our lives. All Seniors will carry with them the memory of friendships and experiences in the years when we were united together as the Class of ’73”. We’re on our own now —on to bigger and better things. 23
