Senior Officers Brad Anderson. Sherry Dove. Jim Braithwaite. Kathy Stoddard With Jim. Kathy. Sherry, and Brad leading the senior class, where else could they go but up? Some of the things that helped them to go up were taking first place with their float in the Homecoming Parade, presenting a great assembly, and an out- standing dance The seniors showed great school spirit by always wanting to be on top They tried their hardest to out yell the lower classmen at all the activities, including ball games and pep rallies As seniors, they experienced new changes. Among these changes were the modular sched- uling. the student lounge, and being the upper classmen. Although they eagerly awaited their graduation, they realized that they must advance one more step in life One by one, the class of 71. will go their separate ways, but they will always remember the school spirit, unity, and friendships they had at Manti High Junior Officers The juniors entered the year with much ma- turity and great determination to make it their best year ever They did their best in everything they participated in. For Homecoming Week they tried their hardest to do better than either of the other classes. They were rewarded by having the Home- coming Queen chosen from their class When choosing class rings they decided to make their own special design which had never been done before. Their junior assembly was of high quality. The highlight for the class of 72 was the Junior Prom. The success of that night reflected the hard work the entire class put into it, whether it was decorating, planning, advertising, or participating With their officers taking the lead, the junior class did their best to make this year a great one As the class advances from jolly, jolly juniors into mighty seniors.” we expect them to do even better. 10 Kenny Peterson. Sophomore Officers Allen Simons. Linda Nielson. Connie Williams. Marta DeLeeuw The sophomores started the year out great by winning the annual Letter Lighting. With their bold S taking the lead, they proved how deter- mined they were to do well This determination lasted throughout the year as the class of 73 tried their hardest to show the upper-classmen that they were worthy of high school. Being silly, silly sophomores did not dampen their school spirit, instead it helped to boost it. They started a new tradition, but broke an old one. by changing the style of school rings. They were also the first sophomore class of MHS to get school rings. It was decided to buy the rings as sophomores so they could wear them through their three years of high school The sophomore class of 73 has proven to all how great their class really is They didn't give up when things went wrong, instead they strived harder to achieve their goals Yearbook Editors Paper Editor Helen Olsen.
