The educational program and the high morale of Manti High's students and teachers could be traced directly or indirectly to the influence of Manti's progressive superintendent, Maurice C. Barnett. I he board members ot the Soutn banpete bchool District was made up of men whose record ot accomp- lishments proved their belief in the importance of good schools and teachers. Evart J. Jensen, Sec. Margaret Anderson, Eugene Overfelt, Don Simmons, Mariel O. Hansen, Dr. Wendell McGarry, and Superintendent Barnett gave many hours of service to help make the South Sanpete Schools better. —4—
