Through these open doors will rn Jubilant cries which always brine Hearts to linger and reminisce On happy days at M H S. — Kathryn Smith If T. For the previous half century students have passed through the corridors of Manti High School We the students of the 50th year, like- wise are engaging in the hustle-bustle of school activity. Our activities have not only included the classes in which we persis- tently study, and the hurry- scurry of getting the term paper in the last minute, but the partici- pation in the extra-curricular activ- ities. School life consists of working on the High Life staff, going to the speech meet, and cheering the basket- ball team on. It means taking part on assemblies, dancing in the dance review, participating in the business meet, and con- tributing to the success of a class dance. All of us have experienced some of these. In- deed we may say our golden year of opportunity Through These Open Doors of M H S is complete. -2- SUPERINTENDENT MAURICE BARNETT Through the doors of educa- tion, year after year, pass the immortal minds of the youth of this nation. It is the purpose of education to release the spark of genius in each mind and cause it to burst into the flame of ac- complishment. Board of Education — left to right: Superintendent Maurice C. ' -4- PRINCIPAL BRUCE JENNINGS Through These Open Doors have passed — in the half cen- tury of its history — a throng of boys and girls: the dull and the diligent, the eager and the in- different; those who have cared greatly and those who have cared little, for what AA. H. S. might offer them. It has offered to each, opportunity, and it has returned to each, in large meas- ure, in accordance with his effort his cooperation and his loyalty. And for the future we can hope for M. H. S. that her doors may remain open, not merely for new ways and new ideas, but more importantly for the boys and girls of other years who will likewise seek here the pathways to the future.
