Offlcers elected were Jrm Gusty Presxdent Joy Stauffenberg V1ce Presldent Eddle Marcukaltls Secretary and Carol Ann Parker Treasurer Our advrsor was Mrs Graff Student Counc1l representatlve for the year was Frances Long Class reporter was Carol Ann Parker Our Annual Staff representatlve was Joy Stauffenberg Frances Long and J1m Gusty were voted best freshmen students Beverly Fanmng Helen Rob1nson and J1m Soper jomed our ranks that year wh11e A1v1n Bxspmg and Pat Pugmxre left us Eddle Marcukams pres1ded as class Pres1dent for the 1955 56 school year Other offlcers were Judy L1ndsay V1ce Prestdent and Jun Gusty Secretary Treasurer Our adv1sors were Mrs Suckow and Mr Zeglxn. Student Councll representatlves were Sandra Beedy and Joy Stauffenberg Ronald Creek and Joy Stauffenberg represented our class on the Annual Staff Not returrung for therr second year were Kay Edwards and Joyce Reed The followxng students 1ncreased our number Davrd Baron Barbara Brown Sue Corgan Drck Keller and Benny Parks Before the year was over our number was decreased Betty Brxster Betty Magruder Benny Parks and Ronald Uran moved elsewhere Joy Stauffenberg and Jtm Gusty recexved the honor of be1ng elected best students for the year By elect1ng Sandra Beedy class Presldent we began our Jumor year Other offlcers elected were Wendell Jacobs V1ce Presldent Carol Ann Parker Secretary and Tom Sxmeur Treasurer Our Spon sors were Mlss Rockwood and Mr Masters Elected to the Student Councll were J1m Gusty Frances Long and Lmda Sxmmons Delegates to the Gxrls Athlenc Board were Helen Rob1nson and Joy Stauf fenberg Representmg our class on the Annual Staff were Joyce G3dbO1S Wendell Jacobs Carol Ann Parker Tom Slmeur and Joy Stauffenberg Sandra Beedy and J l.fI'l Gusty were elected best Juruor stu 1ce O Keefe but we had lost Judy Leather Loralne Moutrey and Kerth Snyder J an1ce Morr1s and Mary Ann Toler came to us durmg thls year too but Mary Ann s stay was only temporary Our money ra1s1ng projects of the year were runmng the concesslon stand at all home basketball games prcklng corn a paper drrve and a work day The class presented the three act mystery comedy NIGHT OF SUS PENSE On May 18 the annual Jumor Senror Prom and banquet the themeofwhlch was HITCH YOUR WAGON TO A STAR was sponsored by us Sandra Beedy was agarn the class s chorce forPres1dent dur1ng our f1nal year 1957 58 Other off1cers elected were V1ce Presxdent Wendell Jacobs Secretary Joyce Gadbo1s and Treasurer Helen Robmson. Our sponsor was Mr Hayes Servlng on the Student Councll were Jtm Gusty Frances Long Joy Stauffenberg and Claude Vaughn. Representmg the Senlor glrls on the Athletrc Board were Sue Cor gan and Judy L1ndsay Annual Staff representatlves for 1957 58 were Sandra Beedy Norma Lawrence Joyce Gadbo1s Wendell Jacobs J1m Gusty Eddle Marcukams John Tamblyn Frances Long Carol Hanabarger Carol Ann Parker Joy Stauffenberg Barbara Brown Sue Corgan Beverly Fanrung Maureen O Keefe Norma Morrts and Lucllle Warner New students for the year were Clare Buchanan Themla Dewey and Melvm Marshall. Only f1ve members of our Senlor Class of 40 started school together ln the ftrst grade They were Gary Curl Jlm Jarvls Norma Morris Carol Ann Parker and John Tamblyn.
