oca! mudic A Christmas Concert was given on December 13, presenting sacred and secular Christmas music. The Mixed Chorus participated in the Calhoun County Music Festival held in Farnhamville on January 27. Under the direction of Joe McCoy, guest conductor, the students enioyed the experience of singing in a 250 voice festival choir. Manson Vocal Department made its television debut on March 8. The Mixed Chorus and Quintette presented a portion of a half-hour television program featuring the Manson High School Music Department. ln April and May choral groups and soloists entered the Iowa State Music Contests. The Department presented a spring concert on May 5. On this program, the Freshman Girls' Glee Club appeared for the first time this year. Also on the program were the Girls' Glee Club, Mixed Chorus, Sextette, and Quartette.
