By working in conjunction with the Elementary and Secondary Educa- tion Departments, the present program enables students to have an area of concentration in Special Education. Thus graduates are pre- pared to teach both Special Education and their major area in secon- dary or elementary education. Currently there are thirty- four students majoring in art education. The center of instructional activities for the prospective artist -teachers is the second floor of Allen Hall containing classrooms, oil and ceramics studios, and of- fices.
