It has been a great experience for us. We hope that we have earned the honor that is ours in being seniorsg we hope that we have learned to fill ou.r placeg we hope that we may reflect credit on Mansfield High School. We are grateful for the leadership and training we have had here, and we are proud of the spirit of loyalty and friendliness of this class. The Senior Class of 1948-49 have gathered here tonight after ten years of departure. L.et's see what ten years has done for each of us. First, and most outstanding among the citizens of Mansfield, is our editor of the Mansfield Daily News, James Carl Cantrell. Jessie Huey has become a basketball coach at T. C. U. Bill Ray and Edna Holley are widely known for their outstanding floor shoyvs presented nightly at Eldon Luttrel1's Pyramid Club. We have a genius with us tonight. Marion Loyd 'has just published his E-Z To Learn Shorthand Book. He guarantees you to be able to write it in eight lessons, but he does not guarantee you to read it. Christine Jackson is clicking her way into some boss's heart with her expert typing. She has held the world's title for three years of 296 words a minute. We have a great fashion designer Miss Barbara Fitzgerald with us tonight. Oneta Caruthers has become her outstanding model. Among our more distinguished visitors tonight, we have Edward Lambert, better known as Nootie. Yes, he is still writing poetry. He has just finished his-masterpiece, Each Day I Die. Lurlene Williams is now a dean at Texas University, while Alice Storie has decided to stay single after divorcing her thirteenth husband. Barbara Willhelm is seen on every poster in the United States. It seems that she is modeling French Bathing Suits. Royce Self and Robert Noles are now known as the Toni Twins of 1959 while Jane Luttrell has become famous for her three sets of twins. Don Lunday spends all of his time at his Silver Dollar Salon, famous for it's motto, Come In and Get a Slug. Leroy Fricks has decided to sell his band at Mansfield, and settle down on a farm, while Jane Smith spends her time managing her husband and four children Donald Camp has become a great business man. He owns all of the Magnolia Service Stations from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific. Patsy West has taken Sonjie I-Ienie's place in ice skating while Johnnie Hubbard is widely known for his ballet dancing. Iris Williams and Charlene Turner have taken Mutt and Jeff's place in comic books, while Jane Trout is now the manager of Dubarry's Successful Reducing Course. She guarantees you will lose twenty pounds in a week. Eloise Harris is a door to door sales-woman,while she is attempting to make her invalid husband and her six children an 'honest living. Sammie Odom is now known as Miss Redhead of 1959. She has just dis- covered that iodine is a very colorful and easy to apply hair-dye. Our Class President, Tommy Bulin, is no longer a soda jerk at Kennedale, but he is up for the forthcoming election of the United States. CLASS PROPHEC Y 'Wyatt Winslett has taken Babe Ruth's place in his ability to hit ten home runs in one game,.while Eula Mae Vass is a house wife and a mother by day, and an opera singer by night. Imogene Selman now owns all of the business stores in the city limits of Rendon. The population has now reached the total of sixty nine. Peggy Coy is still traveling over the world with her sailor husband, while Marlene Maxwell plans to retire from the navy life after twenty years on a world cruise. Jimmy Kepple and Jummy Davison have just become the main attractions in the Shrine Circus. They are better known as Those Goffy Gentlemen Clowns. Last, but the most outstanding among us tonight is the Little Mack Perry. Ten years has shown a great improvement in him. He now appears on all magazine covers, where the late Charles Atlas appeared for many years, ad- vertising his free muscle building course. The greatest remuneration we have received during this and the preceeding years of preparation has been the anticipation of joy at crossing the threshold into our Senior year.
