A pool and a fountain, many lovely flowers and plants, and a fog created by dry ice helped to create the mood for the tropical theme. Olivia Hairston and Darron Minard sang the theme song, and the entire choir sang several other selections. Laurie Jessop was crowned - queen by the ’85 queen, Jill Bradshaw. Her court con- sisted of Cindy Perry, Lisa Schindler, Raquel Eatmon, and Sherry Hill. M.C.’s Brucette Drye and Steve Ramshaw introduced the court. 1. Raquel Eatmon is escorted by Darius Carter. 2. Laurie’s parents escort her into the stadium before the game. 3. Captains Mike Burch and Lamar Marsh proudly walk back by John Fraley. 5. Lisa Schindler and Mike Bechtel make their way over the bridge. 6. The M.C.’s walk to the podium. 7. 1986 Homecoming Court. 8. Cindy Perry and Kevin Groff walk to the stage. 9. Olivia and Darron sing the theme song. 10. Sherry Hill and Jason Murray walk down the ai- sle. 11. Smile, John, your girlfriend’s the queen! 12. They started out slowly, but in the second half of the season they show- ed they could work together and win. They were upset though in a heartbreaking first tournament game against Vermilion. Next year they look forward to six var- sity lettermen. Awards given out at the Winter Sports Awards Pro- gram went to Dapries Owens, MVP, Most Points, Most Re- bounds, and Best FG%; Ron- nie Holmes, Most Improved; Darron Minard, Most Assists, and Best FT%. 1. Young Team Gains Experience This year’s wrestling team was a very young team that gained a lot of experience for next year. While next year’s group will also be young, they will be seasoned veterans. Head Coach Nick Confalone, coming out of his first year as Tyger coach, stated, “We will greatly miss our three seniors, Burch, Au, and Young. Prom Theme ‘It’s the Time to Remember’”’ Marnie Yarger, who was in charge of decorations this year, chose red and silver as the colors for transforming Snow Trails into something other than a ski lodge for one night. No formal dinner was held, but Dionne’s provided a lovely table of hors d’oeuvres for the prom goers to enjoy. The one disappointment of the evening came when the D.J.’s arrived two hours late and then broke down shortly after they started. For the After Prom seniors and their dates went first to Mansfield Square Cinema and them on to the Raquet Ball Club. They concluded with a breakfast at Ponderosa. 1. Tim Trumpower and his date get nice and close. 2. Erin Sturts shows a little leg. 3. Veronica, Steve, and Paul get a kick out of something. 4. Bill Johnson and Sam Luce take their dates for a walk on the lawn. 5. Tracy needs some adjustment to those suspenders. 6. Everyone enjoys the music except Jeff Morrow. 7. and 8. Promgoers start out slowly but then really get into the music. 9. Melissa Garn gets tired early with no music to keep her going.
